In our brainstorm sessions here at Bizooki HQ, we are diligently working to provide a unique business networking realm for our prospective body of consumers, and more importantly, friends.
We know you have plenty of other options already at your disposal when it comes to business networking. You may have tried anything from Monster.com to BaseCamp with, let’s be honest, mixed results? Some people we have talked with have even written off such sites altogether due to user ineffectiveness towards their own personal goals.
“There’s certain nuances to (online business networking),” says David, a recent MBA graduate from Phoenix who has used LinkedIn. “I used the site to see which people who my friends from school knew, which enabled me grow my network, and I could kinda send messages to them. I’d say about 80 percent of the people I knew were through classmates.”
Our site aims for a more casual, direct environment.
Bizooki allows Michael, the disillusioned corporate bee burnout, to find a niche where he can be comfortable and thrive. Bizooki allows Kate, the passionate project manager with a freshly-dried-ink MBA, to find just the people she needs to get on board with her big idea.
With these kinds of interactions in mind, Bizooki endeavors to be “The Facebook of business networking sites”, or at least contend with the Zuckerberg model of informal familiarity. We desire to create a comfortably navigable link between the small business and corporate worlds, to create an efficient and fun place to virtual team-build for your needs.
What’s more: while we don’t exactly expect to replicate Facebook’s level of success upon launching this site, Bizooki is still its own kind of animal and seeks to improve on Facebook’s model in a number of ways.
You know on Facebook when you see that girl or guy (perhaps commenting on a friend’s wall) who you think is really cute, but there is no logical way to facilitate a conversation?
“Hi, umm…my name’s Jackson. I saw you post in Kyle’s new group and I thought you were really cute. I also thought your quotes were really funny. Would you like to grab coffee sometime?”
And you know what Suzy Q’s going say to you? Nothing. Not even a “Get lost.” Because that’s creepy. And acting creepy doesn’t merit a response, despite the best intentions.
But she listed herself as “Interested In: Dating”, right? Oh, and “Random Play”…whatever that means.
Sounds like Bizooki is the place for you. When members of our community list what they are “interested in”, they mean it. Why? Because they, just like you, are in the business of making money and accomplishment, and they need just the right ingredients/people to help their business peak…even if that person is currently on sabbatical in Alaska.
They will keep swapping private messages back and forth with you…because they need you, and you need them.
